I woke up early this morning, as is my routine but this morning, my heart and spirit drew me outside. Still in my pajamas, I sat on the cool concrete outside of the garage. Legs folded, I looked up. The rooster called and our dog barked. Other than that… silence, darkness. I was alone, but unafraid, I'm quite at home in the darkness and silence. I'm at peace in nature.
I simply gazed at the blue black sky and the thousands of stars over my head. I suspected the 2 brightest “stars” that I saw above me were actually planets and I was right… the larger star was Jupiter, the smaller red “star” was Mars.
I inhaled the clean, fresh air, drank it like a glass of water, refreshing my spirit, cleansing my heart. Leisurely, I tracked the satellite I saw floating across the horizon, and then out of the corner of my eye, I saw something fast fly across the sky. It was bright and fast, leaving an unmistakable line across the sky, a comet. I mean this thing was booking it, dropping towards some unknown destination, likely to burn up in the Earth’s atmosphere.
I almost stood up in my excitement and a childish grin drew across my face. I felt like this moment was a gift, a sign, a blessing. Before I could push the thought aside, I saw another comet fly across the sky. Confirmation. I saw what I saw, I knew what I knew. And may it be so.
After years of toil, planting, hard work, anxiety, courage, faith and fear, my harvest season has arrived. Indeed, may it be so.
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” - Galatians 6:9
Have a blessed day my friends 💛💫🌟
